Job Title: Senior Penetration Tester
Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Penetration Tester to perform authorized security testing on networks and systems. The role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities, testing security defenses, and helping improve overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct internal and external penetration testing on network and infrastructure
• Identify, validate, and safely exploit security vulnerabilities
• Test security across:
o Network devices (firewalls, routers, switches)
o Servers (Windows, Linux, Unix)
o Active Directory environments
o VPNs and remote access systems
o Cloud environments (if applicable)
• Simulate real-world cyber attacks (privilege escalation, lateral movement, etc.)
• Evaluate security configurations and controls
• Prepare detailed penetration testing reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support remediation and re-testing activities
Required Skills & Experience:
• 7–10 years of experience in penetration testing or offensive security
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and Active Directory security
• Hands-on experience with tools like:
o Nmap, Nessus, Metasploit, Burp Suite
o BloodHound, NetExec, PingCastle
• Experience with security frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP)
• Strong understanding of ethical and legal aspects of penetration testing
• Experience working in secure or regulated environments
